Robin Hood

All this while, I had been dumbfounded and confused as I had always thought that Robin Hood = Little Red Riding Hood. How stupid, right? They are 2 totally different characters, OK. Let alone the gender itself. Heck! I was told by my brother that Robin Hood supposed to wear green. So, out of curiosity, I googled it and this is what I found - a Peter-Pan-look-alike Robin Hood versus the macho-looking Robin Hood.

This movie features the award winning actor, yes, Russell Crowe it is, who plays the role as Robin Longstride a.k.a. Robin Hood, as an archer under the lead of King Richard. Following the death of King Richard in an ambush, a dying knight (Sir Robert Loxley) summoned Robin to return a sword to his father (Sir Walter Loxley) in Nottingham. The ruthless King John was enthroned following the death of King Richard. He demands harsh taxes to be collected and death will be implemented for those who do not abide. Sir Godfrey, the betrayer, was sent to raise the revenue. Little did he know that Sir Godfrey is an agent of French King who intends to cause Civil War in England. In the battle between the English and French, Robin stylishly spurts an arrow through Godfrey's throat over a distance. Feeling threatened and perceived that the French surrendered to Robin rather than to himself, King John outlawed Robin. Thus, Robin ended up living in the woods with his beloved Lady Marion and a bunch of orphans. Since then, he became the legendary Robin Hood.

Overall, this movie would be rather OK, I would say. But it's just not my choice of movie. Anyway, I rated 6/10 for this. Still, it's better than the so-called hottest film of summer (Iron Man 2) which sucked totally.

A Nightmare on Elm Street

One, two...Freddy's coming for you
Three, four...better lock the door
Five, six...grab your crucifix
Seven, eight...gonna stay up late
Nine, ten...Never sleep again............

This song had been lingering on my mind for quite some time. Every time I recall the song, it never failed to send me chills down my spine. *Spooky*. Freddy Kruger is back, people! Alright, maybe you might be asking who the hell is Freddy. Well, Freddy is a hideously burnt and disfigured killer with hook-like fingers who stalks and hunts his victims in their dreams, thereby killing them. A group of teenagers growing up from the same pre-school, were hunted and killed one by one by Freddy. These teenagers were physically and sexually abused by the maniac during their pre-school period and thus, after telling their parents about what had happened, the kids' parents attempted to burn Freddy to death but their efforts were in vain. Hence, Freddy returned and seeked revenge by killing the kids, who are now teenagers. The teenagers can protect each other as long as they stay awake. However, if they happened to doze off....there is no return because they will never wake up! Anyway, the movie was not too bad but would be better if Freddy's character could be made more scary and horrible. I rated 5/10 for this movie. Another reason I watch it is because Thomas Dekker is in it. Yes, Thomas Dekker! OK. I wanna find Freddy now. Till then, ciao!~

Licence To Style 2010

Ladies and gentlemen, babies and elephants, put your hands together and don't blink a bit as the Licence To Style 2010 (at One Utama) is back with spring / summer collections from any brandy brands you can think of! Dim the lights, turn on the spot lights and pump up the music to get the show started! The songs from Pitbull, Guru Josh Project and Lady Gaga were still banging loudly in my head. I sat at the most front row, watching the fashion show and snapping shots for 2 days ( 5 hours each, mind you!). Get ready as the glamourous and stylish models walk their way lavishly down the runway! Ip Man 2 Vs Iron Man 2

I watched the 2 blockbusters last week. The so called most anticipated film - Ip Man 2 and Iron Man 2, which premiered on the same day. I was more interested to watch Ip Man 2, but not so for the other. Not attracted by its trailer, ok. And darn, I was proven right! Iron Man 2 was a complete disappointment for me. The movie was nothing but plain boring! On the other hand, the action-packed Ip Man 2 was much much much more interesting and exciting. I rated 9/10 for Ip Man 2 while for Iron Man 2, sigh.....3/10. That's very generous of me as I could have rated 0 instead. Oh...and by the way, I slept twice while watching the boring movie! Sweet!

A Short Escape

Dear Lord, I've been a good kid all this while. Can you grant me a TIME MACHINE? *smiling innocently*. I wish I can relive my weekends every day and weekdays will never come. My weekdays stress disorder (WSD) starts every Sunday night. Anyway, the past weekend had been a wonderful one for me as I had the chance to travel to 2 countries (France and Japan) on the opposite sides of the globe in just a day. Sigh....I wish so too. But the one I went was just a replica of the countries.

We had been planning to go for a trip to Berjaya Hills for a long time and the perfect timing finally came on first of May. We (you will know who are 'we' soon) departed at 9.35am and reached the place at around 11am. A long, sweet one and a half hours ride due to some traffic jam. We rode on a Mercedes for the journey and the trip alone costs RM52 (including entrance fee of RM12). We were blessed with a fabulous weather that day with blue sky and white clouds. Simply magnificent. OK, let the photos do all the talking.

There's nothing much to do in this place besides photo shooting. However, if you wish to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, *eherm* like me, this would be an appropriate place. But if you wish to have cooler air, forget it. It was burning hot there.

The Japanese Garden was sort of a disappointment, especially the Botanical Garden. We were totally out of breath for trekking into endless paths under the hot sun. For more pictures, please feel free to visit my facebook at

Who said biotechnologists can't cook? We had Italian dinner that very night with KK in charge of the main course, fusilli with carbonara sauce and mushrooms. Tony was in charge of the mashed potato (which we eventually threw away) and instant mushroom cream soup. Well for me, I was in charge of dessert of the night - unbaked cheese cake. Sorry. No photos of the main course as we almost starved to death. Dinner was yummy!

My creation. Could have tasted much better without the top agar layer.
