Movie & Food Fetish Weekend

Hello, people! Does time machine exist? Or anything that can freeze time? I seriously need one. Why, you might ask? Simply because...time flies!!!! The weekend just past with a snap of fingers. Last Friday, I was still anticipating the arrival of my weekend but now, *sigh* ... I so so so don't wanna start the week. The thought of working makes me go "Geez!!!! I hate weekdays!" Anyway, anyway, anyway, I had 3 days of holidays from Saturday to Monday as Monday was first of February (Federal Territory day, okay?). See, we are already in the second month of 2010. So, do I need to remind you again of how time flies?

Well, well, well. Being a movie fanatic, I had always wanted to watch the infamous local production "Tiger Woo Hoo" since its premiere screening. Some morons told me that this movie is 10 times better than Avatar. They actually left me pondering how can such a movie be compared with avatar?? It makes no sense at all. There's no special effects or graphics or whatsoever in Tiger Woo Hoo but yet, they are comparing those 2 movies. Hmm....morons are weird. I know I could be very mean sometimes *HAHAHA*

Anyway, anyway, anyway, I made 3 freaking attempts to watch this movie but all in vain. First attempt was on Friday night straight after work. My brother and I sped all the way to Jusco Cheras Selatan as we figured other GSC might be fully booked. Once we reach, we were greeted by disappointment as TGV in Jusco Cheras Selatan for that particular movie was fully booked too. Dang it! We ended up watching a shitty movie (Legion) as we did not want to waste our effort to had come a long way. *Sigh*... It was really a bad choice of movie, I must say. It could have been better if it's more action packed instead of long-winded, sleep-inducing and boring grandmother stories. I will only give it a rating of 2 out of 5. *Haiz*. Oh by the way, my buddy (Soony, recently a.k.a. Leng Leng) and her sister (Dai Leng) had come over to KL. So, we hanged out for the weekend.

30th January 2010 (Saturday) - We went shopping at One Utama. Not really shopping though as I didn't get to buy anything. Nothing attracts me (Don't ask why). We then went for Sushi Zanmai after a tiring 20 minutes of long queue. It was my first time there but I couldn't eat much as I just finished downing a long-time-no-drink bubble milk tea. So, still full. The sushis here were rather different than those I normally had in Sakae Sushi or Sushi King. Erm...I still prefer the classic Sushi King. Thanks, Dai Leng for the meal and thanks for making my brother and I pai seh again by treating us.

Our dinner..don't know what Tau Fu (Nice~~~)

Fan Shu Yip (Nice too)

Asam sting ray (Nice too too)

31st January 2010 (Sunday) - We went to Pavilion but couldn't buy much because most of them are designers' labels such as Prada, Gucci, LV, Coach and tralala....Need I say more? Then we had our scrumptuous lunch at Dragon-i.

After lunch, we drove to Times Square as there's nothing to buy in Pavilion. I had already warned them before going to Times Square that all the clothes there are MIC (made in China) and needless to say, cheap. I felt funny and unsurprising at all that the minute Leng Leng stepped her foot there, she wanted to leave. It's like hell to her with all those crowds. So, off they went to Sunway and I headed home.

KK suddenly texted me, asking me whether I want to watch movie as he had a voucher. Again, my movie nerves were stimulated. This was my second attempt for the movie. *Sigh Sigh Sigh* The movie we all wanted to watch was only available in Mid Valley GSC and to make it worse, there's no more tickets left except for the first 2 rows. The voucher expires that very day and we had to give it up reluctantly as we don't intend to break our giraffe necks. Haha! He has another Sakae Sushi voucher. Thus, we (KK, my brother and I) went to Leisure Mall for Sakae Sushi at night.

My all time favourite - Ebikko

Salmon sushi...my new found love

My absolute favourite

Still hoping for the best and not losing hope, we dashed all the way to Jusco Cheras Selatan AGAIN for the movie after having dinner. The movie was supposed to start at 9.30pm and we still had an hour (Thinking optimistically that we can still make it). When we reached, we were surprised by the amount of cars there. Fully parked. But still managed to find a parking. However, still the same old story - No more tickets available. *Haizzzzzzzzzzz* Again, so as not to waste our effort in going there, we watched Haunted Universities instead. My brother, who is a ghost and horror movies phobic, was unwilling to watch initially but got dragged in finally. Isn't horror movies supposed to be horrible? How come I felt funny instead of scared and horrified? This movie sucks! Again, wrong choice of movie.

1st February 2010 (Monday) - Today will be another round of sushi and movie. Read on. We went to Mid Valley and this was my third attempt. I can guess what would be said by the movie ticket dispatcher or seller or whatever you call it. And so, my prediction was right. No tickets again. So freaking tired of this. We decided to watch either Case 39 or Ju On but my brother didn't want to. Too scared. So, we chose a kid's movie (Tooth Fairy). Another not-so-good movie but still better than Haunted Universities. We also went bowling. I lost by don't know how many folds and ended up treating a meal, as promised. We didn't want to eat too much as we wanna leave some space in our stomachs for tonight's meal. Sushi King it is then. See, I had sushi for 3 days in a row. Now, I'm officially a movie and sushi freak! Yeah!

Kwan 2 Gor vs Kwan Kuk Yin (Plus strikes)

We met up with Leng Leng, Dai Leng and Ah Fung (Leng Leng's cousin) before going to Tenji. People had been talking and bragging about Tenji but it was my first time there after such a long time. It is claimed to be the largest Japanese buffet in South East Asia. I really doubt that. I thought Jogoya is larger? To my disappointment, it wasn't like what I had expected. I don't know why people like it so much. To me, it was so-so only. Not really that special. Not really that tasty. Not really that nice views. One of the reasons I went there was for Haagen Dazs but sadly, the icecreams melted even before I took my first bite. Why?? I better quit having high expectations on anything and everything. *HOU SAT MONG AH*

Chocolate fondue. My love too but didn't get to it cause too full.

The so-called nice night view. So-called pride of Malaysia.

I still prefer Jogoya. The food are tastier, I think. Will go Jogoya after my wallet replenishes its content. I think I have to go for liposuction after the meals I had eaten these few days. Getting fatter! =.=''' Still waiting to watch Tiger Woo Hoo. *Fingers crossed*
