Time To Unwind

This movie is exactly what I need to unwind from the long and tiring week. Ice Kacang Puppy Love is another Malaysian production film directed by our own famous Ah Niu. This movie features Ah Niu, Lee Sinje, Fish Leong (whose character I think is cute), Gary Chaw, Victor Wong and a brief feature of Nicholas Teo and Penny Tai. For me, the only draw back of the movie was that the director himself is lacking some expressions and emotions. Other than that, the movie was definitely a great one! It is not only about the usual romantic movies which we usually watched, but this movie also encompasses other elements such as parental love and trust for each other. Overall, I find it very hilarious (especially scenes of Ah Niu's younger sister...damn funny) with some touching scenes here and there. And also, I really love the 'old town' taste of the filming locations. A rating of 8.8/10 is what I will give for this fantastic movie! Way to go....Malaysian film production!

Apart from nice movies, nice songs are what you need to unwind. Here's another new young talent from Singapore, Olivia Ong. Her songs are superb with her angel-like voice and fabulous English! The song below is my absolute favourite....LUKA! Enjoy...

The Ugly Truth

I'm seriously getting sick and tired of myself for always blogging about what I've been doing or where I had gone to or which bloody movie I had watched lately. I don't know if you guys feel the same way too but honestly, I do! As much as I wanted to blog about something different in this post, my mind is saturated and littered with multiple random flashbacks. So now, I'm gonna condensed the thoughts and pour it out here. Perhaps you will see another side of me from this...?? Mean while, please bear with me for another mundane and lame plus dull post. Otherwise, just leave, for Christ's sake!

Out of the blue and totally unforeseen, I was suddenly overwhelmed by this nostalgic feeling, reminiscing about the past. Hence, I decided to pen it down. This god damned feeling had haunted me for reasons I wasn't pretty sure of. When things had become much more intense, I really feel like screaming my soul out "TO HELL WITH IT!" As time goes by, I've become a hypocrite without myself noticing it. Oh yes....hypocrite is such a bitchy word, isn't it? Here, let me enlighten you with some instances.

When I told you I'm fine, I was actually NOT FINE at all.

When I said it doesn't matter, my thought screamed of IT MATTERS.

I proclaimed arrogantly that I'm not scared, but deep down inside I was trembling with FEAR.

I might look strong and tough on the outside, but that's just an outer shell to shield the WEAK and FEEBLE me. I'm actually as FRAGILE as a glass.....

I told you I was rather full when you didn't feel like eating but I was STARVING myself half dead.

When you said the pair of jeans was cool, I nodded and agreed in one accord but actually I thought the jeans SUCKS!

Until then, I'm officially a biatch, am I not? But.....yea, but.....

When I told you those 3 magical words (I 'heart' you), I mean it though I might not be saying it day and night.

When I said I miss you, I really did.

When I said I care for you, nothing else matters to me.

When you were sick, you really worried the hell out of me.

When I wished for your eternal happiness, I never forget to include you in my prayers.

I still miss those special moments though I never cried my eff-ing eyes out.

*Knock knock* Died of boredom? Hang in there, just a bit more, alright. I'm in the process of ecdysis like that of a snake, you know, to get rid of my revolting hypocritical self and to embrace a brand new angelic me. Ok, that's nauseous, I know.

L.O.V.E.
.....as good as it sounds, can be very wicked. It can make you laugh your heart out but at the same time, it can also make you cry and shatter your heart to million pieces. But all in all, it is better to have loved and lost than never to have lost at all (Samuel Butler).

Ring shot to end the post =)

We just can't get bored with 'them', can we?

I had 3 rounds of sushi plus 2 movies last week. Hahaha.....getting more and more geng! Yes, I know. Sushi King RM2 bonanza was back this time of the year. Well, I kick started this week with the bonanza and this year I went for it twice. Yes, T.W.I.C.E. No kidding! I wanted to compensate for my 'loss' as I couldn't get to go to the bonanza last year. Reason??? I was doing my internship way back at my hometown. So, there it went just right pass me. Damn! Therefore, this year, I made sure not to miss it again. For your information, I had been asking about it since February....hahaha. Desperado.... Well, don't blame me for my desperation.

I had my first round of sushi with Tony (again), KK (again) and 2 other Tony's friends at Leisure Mall. The chefs from this particular Sushi King seem to make better sushi than anywhere else. Don't know why... Well, we never planned to go for it on Tuesday night (13th April - second day of bonanza). Anyway, I sacrificed my sleeping time and queued for a long, sweet 60 minutes before being served. We started queuing at 7.20pm and was only served at 8.20pm....exactly 1 hour. Not more, not less. Lovely!! =.=''' We grabbed few plates of sushis each before even laying our butts on the seats (especially Tony). He ate 10 plates in just 10 minutes!!! At the end of the 50 minutes, 5 of us had eaten 49 plates. That was a really worthy and satiating meal! Extremely full, mind you!

2 days later, Tony, KK and I went for another round of sushi. One is never enough, right? As I said, I wanted to compensate for last year's loss. So, might as well made it into a double happiness la. On the last day of the bonanza, the dining time was reduced to 45 minutes. Sigh....less 5 minutes to eat *disappointed*. Some more, the salmon sushi were not served at that time. Don't ask why. Sigh.....more disappointed. We kept looking at the time and it was almost the end of our dining time. How??? Haven't got to eat salmon sushi!!! So 甘願, ok. Suddenly, the 2 guys spotted salmon sushi was out!!! But everyone's eyes were like glaring at the sushis. We sat at section B, so basically we had to go to the other side to grab the sushis. Tony asked a lovely plump waitress to grab us 6 plates. There was already not enough salmon sushi for everyone but the funny thing was the waitress was holding a tray full of salmon sushis FOR US!!! A beautiful, glimmering 6 plates!!! Her expression was freaking funny please! Really have to thank her la. Or else, we'll be devastated. OK. That's a strong word to use. 3 of us ate a total of 30 plates. I didn't feel as full as Tuesday night despite eating 10 plates of sushi alone that night. Sushi King Bonanza ... as fast as it came, it went.

The sushi tower

On Friday evening, I went to watch Beauty on Duty with my brother. I like watching all sorts of movies, be it horror, comedy, thriller, action packed or romantic movies. I know watching Hong Kong movies in cinema is a waste of money. Let alone meaningless, stupid HK comedy. But still, I like it! Support original, ok. This movie was OK. Funny because of the joker, Sandra Ng. Stupid lo. But I still prefer All Well Ends Well.

I hang out with Tony and KK on Saturday at Mid Valley. Out of the blue, we had sushi for the third time in a week. It was purely unexpected, ok. Thus, there we went to Sushi King at Mid Valley (top floor). I specifically mentioned top floor because the service here sucks! I don't know whether the employees there pretend not seeing us or it's their nature of zombified motions which are slower than a tortoise. So, take it as a warning. After that, we had movie again. This time, we watched Being Human directed by the currently rumoured and famous Jack Neo, who's actively involved in multiple scandals and affairs. Gosh, that was truly disappointing. I didn't mean the movie, ok. The movie was quite okay and meaningful. But still, I prefer 钱不够用2 and especially 老师嫁老大.

We went for an express dinner after movie as we wanna snap some photos of the fashion show. We only had 20 minutes for dinner and so, we went to Italian Express at The Gardens. I ordered (don't know what, can't remember) pasta with grilled chicken carbonara (something like that). It was creamy and tasty but the portion was too small. So small that even me (who gets full rapidly) didn't feel anything at all. Not to mention the 2 guys. Sigh...

Yeah.... my dinner!

After the express dinner, we dashed straight to the centre court to witness the Carlo Rino fashion show. Here are some of the snapshots.

After the fashion show, we went for another meal. Hahaha....really beh tahan la. Very hungry. So we had Manhattan fishy AGAIN (my third time). This time, we had Manhattan Seafood Platter which was very yummy!!! So, today we went to 3 countries. We walked all the way from Japan to Italy and lastly to New York City.

Ta Da....Manhattan Seafood Platter

Sushi.....Movies.....Great food. We can't really get bored with 'them', can we? Hmmm...no! Not for me! Till then, see you in the next post =)

Clash Of The Titans

Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hera, Athena, Aphrodite, Apollo, Hermes ..... does anyone of you like the Olympian Gods as much as I do? I personally like Zeus, Poseidon and Athena. Don't ask me why though. I really would like to pay a visit to the mystical Mount Olympus to see for myself the residing place of the Olympian Gods. Yes, NO KIDDING!

Zeus, the God of all Gods, had declared a war between the Gods themselves and mankind as they felt challenged by the human Queen who claimed that her Princess is much more prettier than the Goddess of beauty, Aphrodite. Feeling raged, Hades (brother of Zeus and Lord of the death) attempted to seize power from Zeus and convinced Zeus to release his masterpiece, the Kraken to kill mankind. The only salvation is by sacrificing the Princess. In the war, the son of Zeus named Perseus, who is a demigod, led a team of courageous and daring warriors to fight beasts and creatures such as gigantic scorpions (Scorpioch), Medusa (Kok Kwan....LOL) and of course, the Kraken. In the end, Hades was defeated and sent back to the underworld.

Somehow I felt this movie is related to Percy Jackson. But still, I think Percy Jackson is nicer. Maybe because Percy is younger and more handsome....LOL! Anyway, I rate his movie 7.5/10. It started off a bit boring but got more excited as it reached climax. Not bad after all. The Olympian Gods are really YENG!
